Cars.com Names Best of 2017 Award Winners

Cars.com has announced the winners of its annual Best of Awards. The company’s team of experts awarded vehicles across six different categories including Eco-Friendly Car of the Year, Family Car of the Year, Luxury Car of the Year, Play Car of the Year and its two highest honors, Best Pickup Truck of 2017 and Best of 2017. Winners were revealed at Cars.com’s Best of 2017 Awards Show, an annual event held each year in Detroit during the North American International Auto Show. The 2017 Toyota Prius took home the 2017 Award for Eco-Friendly Car of the Year.

“We are excited that the new 2017 Toyota Prius has received this honor,” said KC Han, Andrew Toyota General Manager. “The Prius has long been the face of the hybrid segment and along the way developed a following of eco-conscious consumers. It remains an extremely efficient five-seat mid-size hatchback. We are honored to provide these high-quality vehicles to Milwaukee Toyota drivers.”

The experienced Cars.com editorial team tests each car for three key criteria to determine the winners: quality, innovation and value.

“Shopping for a new car can be overwhelming, and Cars.com is all about helping consumers navigate this important purchase,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com editor-in-chief. “One way we do this is through our Best of Awards. There’s no shortage of great cars for shoppers to choose from these days. We hope that our awards help consumers narrow down their selection based on the endorsement of Cars.com’s experts.”
