Drive forward in the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid From Andrew Toyota!

Behind the wheel of the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid, shifting the paradigm is as easy as shifting gears.

This RAV4 roars onto roads with a refreshed, dynamic stance. The iconic front fascia strikes a pose that’s bolder than ever before. An available combination of LED headlights, daytime running lights and Hi-Lo Headlights illuminate this Hybrid’s restyled front and rear bumpers. New wheel designs, a stunning color palette, and a biting shark fin antenna further accent the refreshed RAV4 experience.

Under the hood, the RAV4 Hybrid combines output from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a high-torque electric motor to deliver a combined push of 194 horsepower. Regenerative braking turns the motor into a power generator when the brakes are applied, capturing the kinetic energy of the turning wheels and storing it in a nickel-metal hydride hybrid battery pack.

Choose ECO mode (on Hybrid and Gas models) to optimize the throttle response and AC output to prioritize fuel economy. The System Indicator and fuel consumption indicator will help guide your eco-conscious drive as economically as possible.

One thing isn’t changing: Toyota’s commitment to safety. The 2016 RAV4 will be among the first U.S. models to offer Toyota Safety Sense™1 – a multi-feature advanced safety package of cutting-edge safety technologies, including our Pre-Collision System2 (with Forward Collision Warning and automatic emergency brake), Lane Departure Alert,3 Automatic High Beams,4 Dynamic Radar Cruise Control5 and more.

Prototype shown with options. Production model may vary.
1Please refer to the Owner’s Manual for more information and system limitations.
2The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See Owner’s Manual for further information.
3Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is designed to read lane markers under certain conditions and provide visual and audible alerts and slight steering force when lane departure is detected. It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness depends on many factors. See Owner’s Manual for more information.
4The automatic high-beams system operates at speeds above 21 mph. Situations such as a dirty windshield, variable weather, lighting conditions and hilly terrain will limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually turn off. See Owner’s Manual for details.
5Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important instructions and cautions.
