The dealership group has also formed a team composed of employees, friends, family, and clients to walk in May. Andrew Automotive’s #AndrewPinkSquad has a goal of $15,000.
Andrew Automotive Group’s involvement in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is part of its ongoing initiative to give back to the communities in which its members work and live. “Breast cancer awareness is an important issue for many of our members and throughout the communities that we serve.” said Dealership Owner, Andrew Schlesinger. “We are honored to show our continued support for the cause, and hope that this support helps provide needed treatment and care for individuals and families in need.”
Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States, other than skin cancer. It is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is about 1 in 8. The chance of dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 37. Breast cancer death rates have been going down. This is probably the result of finding the cancer earlier and better treatment. Right now there are more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
